This "Indian Adaptation" is actually the Sixth Edition, NOT the Seventh

After ordering this book I found out that this "Special Indian Edition" is the adaptation of the Sixth Edition of the US edition of the same book.
There are MANY differences between the Sixth Edition and the Seventh Edition. Because the cover page of the book says that it's the seventh edition, anyone would assume that it's true. After opening the book, the preface to the sixth edition has been written instead of the seventh. The content of the book matches with the contents of the Sixth Ori...

Don't buy this if you are looking for Rosen book

I agree with Ayush. This is not the same as Rosen book. I have used original Rosen book in my academic days. The readability of this "Indian Adaptation" is so bad. You won't even feel like reading from that. Inside the book it's clearly mentioned that "Profesor Rosen was not involved in this Indian Adaptation". So do not fall prey to the cover of the book like me. I hope this review is helpful.

This is a very good book for Computer Science lovers..
it teaches the mathematical base of CS in a very easy n lucid way..
also very useful for GATE aspirants because of its large variety of questions,solved examples and exercises..

Don't buy, free pdf available online.

-It's indeed a pathetic work by the adapter.
-Many important topics have been removed from the american version like Dynamic programming and probability.
-Rest of the content are also simply copied down from the US version and there is nothing different to offer in the indian Edition.

I don't find any reason to buy this book, if i can get the full book for free.

Too many typos

Well I don't know why this book has 4.5 ratings, I have read some chapters including Modular arithmatic, and trust me unless you have original(i.e. !Indian Adaption) book in PDF you can't even understand some lines(which leads to some concepts which eventually leads to chapter :) ) due to typographic mistakes.

I desperatly want this book, this book here is sooo much expensive, probably the most expensive book i ever seen in my engineering career, the funny part is this book is available for free on torrent, still hard copy is required to study for long... I canr afford 10K so better to stick with the soft copy

gr8 book, this book is much more than that GATE prep.

Very Good book, lots of excercises, answers given only for odd numbered excercises. This book will make you real computer science engg., very well explained with real life implications of any topic.

a kind of book that every computer science student must read. Ever heard of those awsum books from "head first" series, although this book is not interactive images like head first one, but i will rate it as - head first discrete mathematics.
